Winter has come

The Principality of Kyivan Rus invites children and adults to get acquainted with the ancient Slavic amusements in the Principality of Kyivan Rus. On the first winter weekend an entertaining "Winter has come" program will be held here.

The habitants of Ancient Kyiv will invite the guests to walk the streets of the medieval city, observe the architectural masterpieces of the Х-XIII c. – the defensive fortifications, the wooden defensive wall- “zaborola”, Michael's Gate of the Kyivan Detinetz, the watchtowers, the citizen`s mansions and the princely chambers.

Every guest will have a possibility to turn into the habitant of Ancient Kyiv by putting on the warrior`s armor or the princely suit, by having tested his accuracy in the medieval shooting range and having mounted purebred horses.

On the Big tilting-yard the actors of the theatre will be entertaining the guests with theatrical performances and awesome horseback tricks. Horse archers from the princely troop will arrange a thrilling horseback archery tournament.

The guests will have a chance to learn a lot of interesting facts about the horses of the best historical species, collected in the Princely stable of Ancient Kyiv, make a photo with these graceful and beautiful animals.

Active games on fresh air will help to recover after the working week and get a long-term charge of positive energy. Tug-of-war,"serpentine" running, ancient rites, dance flashmobs will add good mood and joyful emotions.

A feeling of adrenaline for the guests will be provided by the fascinating zipline Politailo, on which everyone can not only descend from a height, but also fly over the lake and the high-speed slide “Zmiy Gorynych”, after which it will be possible to take a picture with a fire-breathing dragon.

And of course, you can taste delicious dishes from princely cooks in the Princely Tavern and in the open air food points and in arbors.

Also you can stay for the night in the hotel-type house «4 rooms», which is situated in a five-minutes walk from the Detinetz of Kyiv or in the hostel.

The entrance ticket price includes only a visit to Ancient Kiev - an architectural complex of the reproduction of a medieval city. If there is a program on the day of visiting the complex, it is not additionally paid.
