The greeting of Spring

In the Principality of "Kyivan Rus" the Spring will be greeted on the first weekend of March.

On the first weekend of Spring – March,02 and 03 – in the Principality of "Kyivan Rus" an entertaining program "The greeting of Spring" with fun, entertainment and amusements will take place.

According to the ancient Slavic rites you will get a chance to thank Winter for all the good that happened. And for getting rid of all the problems – pass through the ancient ritual of cleansing: write all the troubles on a sheet of paper and burn it in the fire. For this Spring to become successful the Park guests will be offered to make a wish and taste the sunny korovai. Another ancient rite - the decoration of the spring tree. Every Park guest can tie a bright ribbon on the tree calling in such way for the early arrival of Spring.

On the holiday of the greeting of Spring it will be possible to play active ancient Slavic games. For example, the game «Stream dance»: the human flow in the game symbolizes the spring meltwater flows. Also the guests will see the performances of the horse –trick theatre, will have a possibility to ride horses or in a carriage, shoot a bow in the shooting range, dress into historical costumes and make a photo session.

The guests of Ancient Kyiv can walk the streets of the re-created city, observe the historical costume and armor, the medieval shipbuilding expositions. A feeling of adrenaline for the guests will be provided by the fascinating zipline Politailo, on which everyone can not only descend from a height, but also fly over the lake, as well as the high-speed slide “Zmey Gorynych”, after which you can take a picture with a fire-breathing dragon.

And of course, you can taste delicious dishes from princely cooks in the Princely Tavern and in the open air food points and in arbors.
