The hero calling to Ancient Kiev for the historical battle championship
On May, 22-23 Ancient Kyiv in the Principality of Kyivan Rus invites to a grandiose sport-historical event - Championship of Ukraine in the medieval battle "Call of Heroes". Over 300 fighters and 21 hour of spectacular battles.
Sportsmen among which there`ll be the representatives of the national historical battle teams, the winners and the participants of international championships, the most awarded fighters will gather on the tilting yard of Ancient Kiev to compete.
The championship program is very rich. Intransigent battles will pass in the "sword-sword" and "shield-sword" nominations and there will also be a separate women nomination. Spectacular mass battles will pass in the "5 vs 5 warriors" nominations.
Historical battle is not only a spectacular show but also a full sport type where the participants are the equipped in the same armor as the medieval knight samples we have sportsmen. The warriors are armed with swords and shields, battle-axes , spears, falchions which fully reproduce ancient weapon. This sport revives ancient martial arts, their techniques and methods giving the viewers a bright show.
In the «Call of Heroes» championship show program you can also see: horse-trick shows, theatrical programs, the masters` fair, the presentation of a live historical horse breeds museum. On Saturday, May,22 a bright evening program.
In addition, guests of Ancient Kyiv will be able to walk through the streets of the restored city, to view the exposition of historical costume and armor, medieval shipbuilding, and wooden architecture. Masters of Ancient Kiev will offer to make a souvenir with their own hands on one of the master classes on ancient crafts or to buy a finished handmade at the fair.
You can have fun with horseback riding and in a crew, archery in the medieval castle, reincarnate from the inhabitants of Ancient Kiev, dressed in costumes from the historic costume designer. For the little guests of the Principality of Kievan Rus there is a children's playground where animators will play fun games with them.
A feeling of adrenaline for the guests will be provided by the fascinating zipline Politailo (where everyone can not only descend from the height, but also fly over the lake), as well as the high-speed slide “Zmey Gorynych”, after which you can take a picture with a fire-breathing dragon..
And of course, you can taste delicious dishes from princes cooks in the Princely Tavern and in food points in the open air and in arbors.

In case of not holding (cancellation) of the event, the Buyer returns 100% of the nominal value of the ticket. In the case of returning a ticket at the buyer's initiative, a commission of 10% is deducted from its value, which is not subject to return to the buyer. The ticket may be returned, in case of a buyer's appeal no later than one day prior to the day of the event, until 16:00 a.m., except for weekends and holidays.
