An exciting weekend in the heart of Kievan Rus!

September 04-05 in Ancient Kiev of the Principality of Kievan Rus will be a spectacle worthy of the princes. A rich program, as well as delicious dishes from the fire, various locations and entertainment, museums and games with guests - all this and even more will make the weekend of all visitors really exciting!

This day will be the Princely Horseback Archery Tournament . Virtuoso athletes will come to the Principality from all over the country to compete in the accuracy of firing from a traditional (historical) bow on horseback at full gallop.

This is an incredibly difficult task for the participants of the competition, but at the same time, a gambling and exciting spectacle for the audience. Competitions of horse archers will be held in the main nomination and in the Exotica nomination, which involves the defeat of four targets in one race.

The competition between the participants will be fierce, because the winners of the tournament will have the opportunity to participate in the Open Championship of Ukraine in archery "Scythians", which will be held in Ancient Kiev on October 23-24, 2021.

Athletes and stunt actors will perform in tandem with unique horses of historical breeds collected from around the world in the Princely Stable. Some of these horses in Ukraine are nowhere to be seen, because they were brought to our country in a single copy.

As always, guests of the Principality will find a kaleidoscope of bright emotions from a trip to a real, vibrant medieval city. Here everyone can find something to their liking. Arrange a picnic in nature and taste Slavic dishes and drinks from the princely chefs to enjoy the full spring warmth with family and friends. In addition to participating in mass entertainment, each visitor to Ancient Kiev has the opportunity to choose an individual lesson to their liking - archery, rent a costume and conduct a photo shoot, ride a horse or a carriage, take a walk along the shores of the picturesque Forest Lake, take part in a variety of workshops classes. It will also be possible to purchase at the masters' fair or make original souvenirs yourself.

Unique horses of rare historical breeds are collected in the Princely stable of Ancient Kiev. Guests of the Kievan Rus Park can find out a lot of interesting things about the features and origin of the breeds, about what outstanding personalities of antiquity went to representatives of a particular breed. Each visitor can go to the horses, stroke them, take pictures and ride a horse or carriage.

You can learn a lot of interesting facts about the life of our ancestors at workshops on folk crafts, as well as visiting museums of historical costume, wooden architecture, medieval music, as well as an exhibition of siege equipment, medieval shipbuilding and even medieval torture.

A feeling of adrenaline for the guests will be provided by the fascinating zipline Politailo (where everyone can not only descend from the height, but also fly over the lake), as well as the high-speed slide “Zmey Gorynych”, after which you can take a picture with a fire-breathing dragon.

And of course, you can taste delicious dishes from princes cooks in the Princely Tavern and in food points in the open air and in arbors.

The entrance ticket price includes only a visit to Ancient Kiev - an architectural complex of the reproduction of a medieval city. If there is a program on the day of visiting the complex, it is not additionally paid.
