Where to go in Kyiv on weekend?

Ancient Kyiv invites children and adults to the horse-trick show "The Princely squad". Purebred horses from the Princely stable will be the main decoration of this day because they were brought from different parts of the world. Some of the breeds can be seen in Ukraine only in the Principality of Kyivan Rus.

The program will start around 13:30 with the solemn opening from the princely advisor. The guests will see the parade of the princely flags of Kyivan Rus. After this the performances of the horse and pedestrian theatres will begin.

The prince will give the visitors an interesting and exciting program during which the horse riders will perform cavalry riding and will demonstrate the mastery of the cold weapon possession on horseback and the elements of the horse-knight tournament.

The ancient martial art – horseback archery – will be recreated in front of the guests. The horseback archery triathlon will pass in the following areas: classic shooting, team shooting and the prince of the hunt.

It will be possible to learn about the equestrian martial art of Ancient Kyiv during the sulitsa`s (short spears) tossing on a horseback, which will take place on the main tilting-yard. The circus numbers the "Fire-horse", the "Small women`s battalion" and the fight for the horse performances will entertain and surprise the guests.

And between the performances the game program, dances and flash mobs with the guests and the acquaintance with the breeds from the narrators of Ancient Kyiv will take place. And, for sure, during the day after 11:00 it will be possible to shoot a bow in the medieval shooting range, mint a coin "for luck", ride on a horseback and in a phaeton, visit the museums and expositions on the territory. The children`s playground will be working for children. And for those who will wish to plunge deeper into the history of Kyivan Rus and make bright photos for memory it will be possible to try on the costumes in the princely dressing-room.

A feeling of adrenaline for the guests will be provided by the fascinating zipline Politailo (where everyone can not only descend from the height, but also fly over the lake), as well as the high-speed slide “Zmey Gorynych”, after which you can take a picture with a fire-breathing dragon.

And of course, you can taste delicious dishes from princes cooks in the Princely Tavern and in food points in the open air and in arbors.

Also you can stay for the night in the hotel-type house «4 rooms», which is situated in a five-minutes walk from the Detinetz of Kyiv or in the hostel or at a camping within the park.
