The measure purpose: the development and popularization of such historical sport type as the historical medieval battle. Several hundreds of best sportsmen from all over Ukraine and the entire world are taking part in this championship. Among them – the strongest warriors, the members of national teams. The battles pass within the tournament nominations (1 against 1): "Sword-sword" and "Shield-sword"and also the group nominations – 5 against 5 warriors, 21 against 21 warriors (16 against 16) and the mega-battle – 100 against 100 warriors with the usage of medieval siege technique.

"The Call of heroes" championship has passed for the first time in the "Kievan Rus Park" in 2013. With every year the number of its participants and their professionalism grows and the will to victory grows stronger. The international championship traditionally takes part in September.
